Campaign School is a workshop for women and trans people who interested in running in student union elections. Folks who are running for any student union position this year, or in the future may find it helpful. While some content will be Dalhousie specific, the majority of the content will be useful for candidates and their allies from any school.
Underrepresentation in student government is not a result of lack of interest, it is symptomatic of larger barriers. Campaign School provides resources and information about campaigning and the experience of being a candidate from a marginalized or underrepresented group.
The workshop will take place on March 1, 2014 from 11am until 4pm at the South House Sexual and Gender Resource Centre, located on South Street in Halifax.
Please pass this information on to any woman or trans* identified students who are running this year, or who want some support as they consider running in future years.
Lunch will be provided, and participants are asked to pre-register for the event by emailing volunteer@
